if not a 240, then a w123 merc.
300d, 240d or turbo 300d.
all good options in an automatic form, they run for forever, and more swag than an e34 thats for sure (fuck you 5toes)
but honestly, e30.
and anthony is a pretty cool guy, definitely shouldnt end up in some gay ass jap crap comuto-box.Comment

If that is true make him drive a chevy sprint or a yugo.Reasons he should NOT get an e30
-He has no money to spend on it for maintenance
-He has no knowledge about cars at all
-My mom says he is an asshole
-He doesn't deserve r3v swag
-I do not want to work on it/trouble shoot any problems for him
-He isn't cool enough.
In all seriousness, and e30 is just not a good candidate for such a low budget.

yup my old 240d had nearly 380k when it finally decided to shit the bed.
but i pretty much ran it into the ground, i had no knowledge or experience on how to take care of a car hahaha.
still had tons of character, along with good times associated with it.
i wanna sell my e21 and get another one.

Another vote for a 240, but don't discount the 700/900-series cars either, and avoid the six cylinders if possible. I just got out of a 940T estate, such a cool car; simple as a tractor and still plenty competent on the highway/occasional twisty road. Check the Turbobricks forum, there are a ton of members in your area. And, FYI, I unloaded mine for less than the amount in your OP, and that was with a generous amount of IPD parts and loads of preventative maintenance performed. And bitches really do flock to Volvos, it's weirdly fascinating. Best of luck.- Trey

Haha, you guys crack me up. I don't want a super ugly POS sitting next to my car.
At least a volvo is square. He really is not that bad. He is just a flamer.
He can handle rwd just fine. He has had his license for 6+ months, and he needs a car to go to work and cheer leading practice.Comment
