Haha, an expert in haggling when it comes to the sandwich trade as well. :)

And the red car you may remember had an Al block M50 in it, it was Pete's personal E30 M3. Had Style 44 wheels on it.

        joel,

Let us know what you find out. Also, aren't those Ishihara-johnson crank scraper things somewhat helpful for the oil starvation issues?

Dave.....I have spoken to a couple of well respected shops and individuals. Of course a sump and a baffled pan is the ultimate solution, but a couple shops who race said it wasnt a big deal....just add 1/2 qt extra on track days! Other shops thought a crank scraper would be good enough for 99% of us. Yet still others said it is a big issue for r "tired" (or more) track cars. You can get an oe pan baffled for a fair price....pm me. I can also get the big buck 1k$ pan for less....but 5 of us are needed. My plan is to install gauges as my first step.....then ????

yeah, put a little extra in. I think anyone on street tires should be O.K. I mean, semi-decent spring rates + street tires shouldn't be putting down too many g's

but on Rs, might want to consider it. If you want to ever race, you might want to rebuild anyways....lol, so just save up and do a baffled pan then. (Or the 04 national KP winner used the Accusump system)

He always worked out of his house. Motorsport Connections did the installs for him. Im pretty sure I remember Stu or Alex telling me he wasnt working as much anymore.
