what to take from my e28 parts car?

Im doing the M30 swap into an E30 and adding forced induction. Ive done some searching and found a ton of info on the whole deal but have a question.

From the 535, of course Ill be taking:
    Engine
    Engine accessories
    Transmission and shifter etc
    driveshaft
    radiator
    ecu and wiring

Is there anything else I should take? Like the diff? The brakes? Will anything else be worth putting on the e30?

Oh and will the steering wheel work? Its a 86 3 spoke, and Id want to put it on a 89-91 e30. Thanks!

diff it self is the same, may have different gearing, the rear covers and output flanges would have to be swapped to work in an e30.
But it sounds like you've done your research on what you'll need from it, make sure to take all coolant hoses also.

If you have an ETA yes, if not then no.

edit: I just read you were swapping in the M30. If you upgrade your diff then I will take the 3.25

That sounds about right... take the radiator hoses, etc. Check my website for more M30 swap info... I liked the E30 3.73LSD with a light weight flywheel. Nice swap.

Edit: The brakes won't work and the E28 diff won't match without some fucking with. PM or email me with questions.

whats funny is i havent even bought the e30 yet. I know for sure it will be a 89-91 though, and Im looking at 2 89 325's. Is the stock gearing in a 325i most likely 3.73 and LSD? Or is a non-lsd pretty common? Personally I like lower gearing, and if Im doing f/i Id think longer gears would help to let the turbo spool before I have to shift again..

^and i have looked through your site. Its so informative and Im sure ill basically follow it quite a bit through most of the steps. Good work!

so if i used the e28 diff, which cars cover and which cars input shafts do i need? (i just need the parts from either the e28 or the e30 correct?)

and will that three spoke wheel from the e28 bolt onto a e30? (probably not a 91 b/c of the airbag but the 89 and 90 i think dont have an airbag?)

Ya you need the E30 rear cover, and output flanges. I'm running an e28 3.25s diff in my 85 325e. As for the steering wheel it will work on the non airbag e30's. I think in late 85 is when they switched to the newer spline style that works.

the e28 is so easy to work on, everything has so much space around it, im sure the e30 will be a much different story..
