New gas tanks? Other than oem?

Anyone know of a good place to get an aftermarket new gas tank? Early model.

I have searched around, and the oem tanks from BMW are between $550-650. I found one made by a company called Dorman, anyone run this or have experience with them?

I installed an e-bay -germany, (china prob.) tank in my M tech II car. fit was perfect except the floater thingy, think I paid about 150 euros for it. Was the 55 liter tank too.

I installed one from autozone in my ix. Tho it's a late model. Was like $200 and everything bolted up fine. No complaints

I wonder if you could get a plastic gas tank to fit like the e46 one

            USAutoParts is another option.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Autopartswarehouse I spent 155 for an early model tank. Spectrum was the company I believe
