e46 touring as my new daily?

Tomorrow i will check this 2000 323i touring in pretty good condition, it got h&r and not so good looking wheels imo, but above all else is in 9/10 overall condition. It has 164k on the odo. What you think guys?

Nice. I used one as a daily for 10 years.
    Standard e46 issues.

    Autos eat brakes
    Cooling system issues for m52tu
    Broken rear springs
Nasty diet for front c/a's and bushings

        He is dreaming IMO.
I sold my 2002 e46 xit with 188,000kms for $6500. Up here, e46 cars are everywhere though, and thier value has plunged in the last two years.
Your location may limit availability, I don't know.

Yes, my location is the problem, all others e46 tourings are in the 9-10k range, believe me, this is cheap here pffff, i will offer less than his asking price ofc.

Try looking for an e39 touring. They're like e46's but they don't suck. (Not saying they're without issues, just my opinion.)

I love my E34 Touring DD. If you squint your eyes just a little it looks like an E30 Touring. ;)

And I'll love it even more as soon as Spring comes and I do the 5 speed swap!

Have you ever driven one? With sport suspension they're rather nimble. Also, refer to this chart for the size difference. It's quite minimal.

Maybe there almost no difference, but i love the sporty look the e46 has, vs the more family wagon the e39 got.

you cant compare an m5 or m5 look e39 vs stock e46 wagon in look. Compare an e39 stock wagon vs e46.

Pricey if not a manual. Manual cars carry an easy $2-3k premium here in SoCal and sell within a day of an ad going up.

E39 suspension is kind of expensive to maintain. They also have more issues as a general matter (such as the ABS unit located over the exhaust manifolds).

Watch that rear subframe. Early ones don't like to stay attached to the rest of the car.
