Nobody wants a driver who goes into a race with that kind of outlook. Professional drivers crash because they're pushing hard and quite often doing it near each other, and even so it isn't a good thing to crash. I'm pretty sure that if any of those drivers walk up to a team principal and say, "But crashing just means I'm good!" they won't be getting much respect from anyone on that team. Correlation does not equal causation.Last edited by ELVA164; 01-13-2013, 10:52 PM.Interested in vintage cars? Ever thought about racing one? Also, returning to OT, I think it's a bit too generous to connect this idiot's "performance" to discussion of driving on the limit.Interested in vintage cars? Ever thought about racing one? Info, photos, videos, and more can be found at www.michaelsvintageracing.com!

I never said crashing means you're good but if you have never crashed, spun out, or made a mistake once, chances are you're not pushing it to your, or your cars limits all the time.Nobody wants a driver who goes into a race with that kind of outlook. When you are pushing it to the outer limits, shit happens. Surely you're not going to crash every single time you push it to ten tenths but nobody is perfect, accidents happen.
I agree. That idiot was not driving at the limit at all; That was a rookie mistake in a bad spot to be driving that way. My initial post was directed at the quote since everything that needed to be said about OP was already said.Comment

Why in the world would you want to push yourself to the limit "all the time"?I never said crashing means you're good but if you have never crashed, spun out, or made a mistake once, chances are you're not pushing it to your, or your cars limits all the time.

The guy in the video sounds like Spicoli from Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Sucks to see such a clean E30 get trashed like that.1989 325i - 2.7i, Holset H1C, 60lb injectors, whodwho MS-PNP.
