    Premature tire wear

I bought Falken Ziex 912 back in Feburary. So less than a year on them. I was adjusting my parking brake today and noticed that my insides are worn to the point of belt showing. Now I know these cars when lowered get negative camber. But mine is stock height. What could cause this?

Bushings are old and that is the only logical explanation i can think of...

The diff is open but both sides are similar.

My car sites no sign of a rear end collision (visually or via carfax)

Would it just be the TA bushings causing this? With my tax return I am doing new bushings all the way around any way...

Do you drive the car hard? Those tires have a really shitty tread life, I can say that from experience. Very grippy on dry, but wear down in about a year or so.

the subframe bushings too. since you're already replacing everything, go for it.

Its a cabrio w/auto trans. You can say I drive it hard. It makes alot of noise but doesn't really do anything LOL

i've seen the weld on camber adjustment kits before but my car is stock... One would assume the car wasn't cambered out from the factory

no but the camber kit can fix bent trailing arms. nearly every e30 i've ever seen has had at least 1 bent trailing arm, if not both.

Really? They are rated to 85 thousand miles. Mine are still good after 2 years.

I sure hope they get more miles than that, I put mine on in March and have got about 3k miles on them.

                          x2 on subframe bushings.

Since there is no adjustment on camber from the factory, this usually comes down to slop in the bushings causing your rear suspension geometry to be out of spec under load. That does look a little extreme so I would be concerned about a bent trailing arm.

Once a tire wear pattern is established, it is there for the life of the tire. In addition, the tires you are running will wear more quickly at extreme angles. If you don't do the bushings before you get new tires, make sure you rotate very frequently. It won't fix the problem but it will help.

                            Could be a toe problem.

There might be two different versions with different treadwear rating, but I believe mine was rated at 65,000mi. I put them on and drove it like a go kart for a year and they wore down by the 2nd year. No where close to 60k was put on those tires. I find it hard not to take corners a little faster than normal with stiff suspension :p
