    West Coast Road Trip Advice

Hey guys, I'm going on a vacation/road trip with my buddy soon and wanted to some tips on places to see or go. We fly into San Diego and plan to drive to Vegas, San Francisco, back down through LA and back to San Diego. I'm not really into touristy type attraction, my buddy is a photographer so we'd like to get some cool shots along the way of this journey. We haven't planned much but this basic route below. I'm open to any suggestions on routes or interesting places to stop(scenic, fun, secret m3 dessert junkyards). It may end up like Fear and Loathing at some point though hahaha.

On your drive North check out Monterey, Cannery Row- talking John Steinbeck and then stop by Clint Eastwood's place in Caramel Valley. Take Highway One up the coast to Santa Cruz then San Francisco.

Looking at your map I'd say you have it down. The eastern sierras along 395 and death valley will allow for some epic photography opportunities. They you hit Tahoe and SF, go down 1. I'd say it looks great. Enjoy the drive!

If you go more North before coming back south, you can check out the emerald triangle. The scenery out there is amazing, redwoods the size of houses and it has a very rain foresty feel to it.

Oh and Humboldt is fun for some high grade MJ.

You may want to check out Angela's crest highway in northeasten LA area around Ojai but a waste of time in a rental car

Your route looks awesome, highway 1 should be your main concern. But what car are you going to drive? I didn't know you could rent an e30? lol. But seriously, what the fuck are you going to drive other than an e30, bro?

You should cross over to the coast at Yosemite. Especially for pics! Pismo Beach on your way down the coast, You can drive on the beach and they have miles and miles of open sand dunes. Bonfires! Vehicle rentals available. Check out the F4 Phantom, F14 Tomcat (topgun) and others right off the one freeway, South outside of Port Hueneme on your way down the coast to Malibu.. Looks like a fun trip-
