BTW, PM Levent@Gutenparts or check out gutenparts.com. he's in NJ, a bit far from Texas, but is a great source for hard-to-find parts such as the MT1 kit (not to mention a ton of other fun things for E30s)

I am going to try to talk him into the Mtech kit. I will show him this thread that shows that the CSL kit is a bad choice. I did show him the Mtech kit a couple of weeks ago and he still liked the CSL kit better.

Everyone was 15/16 at one point and did dumb shit to their cars it's just all in the learning process. With the way his e46 looks I'd say there isn't too much to worry about.

Look for MT1 body kit, it was made for the euro bumpers. PLEASE take care of the car and not rice it out. Sell and buy a Honda civic if you are going to allow that.

I am a new member and new owner of an E30 I purchased for my son. I also own a 2004 5spd 330i that has several goodies on her. This forum seems to me to be the best E30 forum. I have many plans for this E30, which I think this forum will help me out with. My E30 is a 1985 320i which appears to have a 2.7 eta. Transplant in her, which I plan to make some changes to. I look forward to chatting with you guys here in the future.

I manage an auto repair shop that specializes in BMW repair, but we don't hardly ever see E30s. So I am a little inexperienced with E30s. If anyone needs help with E46s, I am pretty well schooled with them. We are also an active autowerkes dealer.

Indeed they are. I just wanted OP to clarify which type that's all. But if his son chooses another route I hope it's a simple bolt on for ease of reversal. Good luck to you and your son. I bought my son an e36 at the same age and he has done well with it. Nothing like a young enthusiast. :)
