If your kid gets an account on here he will be exposed to some questionable conversations.

    you're an awesome dad!

tell him to get an account on here (if you dare.. haha)

BTW, PM Levent@Gutenparts or check out gutenparts.com. he's in NJ, a bit far from Texas, but is a great source for hard-to-find parts such as the MT1 kit (not to mention a ton of other fun things for E30s)

I am going to try to talk him into the Mtech kit. I will show him this thread that shows that the CSL kit is a bad choice. I did show him the Mtech kit a couple of weeks ago and he still liked the CSL kit better.

    Welcome to r3v OP!
I am going to guide him in the right direction, he wants the csl body kit.

I have many plans for this E30, which I think this forum will help me out with. My E30 is a 1985 320i which appears to have a 2.7 eta. Transplant in her, which I plan to make some changes to. I look forward to chatting with you guys here in the future.

I manage an auto repair shop that specializes in BMW repair, but we don't hardly ever see E30s. So I am a little inexperienced with E30s. If anyone needs help with E46s, I am pretty well schooled with them. We are also an active autowerkes dealer.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Welcome to r3v, both you and your son.

Either way, welcome! The car looks super clean and it's great to see your son saving his own money for parts. I'm sure he'll enjoy it alot more
Indeed they are. I just wanted OP to clarify which type that's all. But if his son chooses another route I hope it's a simple bolt on for ease of reversal. Good luck to you and your son. I bought my son an e36 at the same age and he has done well with it. Nothing like a young enthusiast. :)
