                        ...was that considered a "good" crash test in the 80's? What about compared to today's standards? I've always wondered about the safety of E30s.

                          All I know is I went to look at some seats from a guy who hit a telephone pole at 60mph. Pushed the front driver corner almost into the engine and destroyed the shock tower. The doors wouldn't shut from the frame damage. The mtech 1 wheel broke from the impact where he was holding it. The cabin actually looked OK though. The guy got away with just a broken arm or collarbone (he didn't say which, his arm was in a sling).

                              E30 are pretty safe, even by todays standards. I know two people that have both rolled their e30s several times. Bot walked away with minor injuries. They are both members here.
