Hearing people calling teenagers kids, when they are teenagers themselves.
Hearing teenagers say "back in the day".

I just started a part time job at a major automotive part retailer (I'll leave the actual name off) and within the first two weeks I've already heard some crazy things. Most I try to forget.
An associate was helping a customer trying to find an "ignition core" for a car and wondered why we had no parts listed. I typed in C-O-I-L and voila, it was the first result.
Another associate said that you don't actually have to replace the timing belt on motors until they break, just because the dealer just wants your money. He has a car with 180,000 miles and he bought it with the original timing belt at 25,000. The car is from the early 90s. I told him he might want to check and see if the motor was interference or not and he had no idea what I was talking about. His justification was that Cubans drive cars until things like this break and you can just fix them on the side of the road.
A few years back at the Dragon (US129) a guy in a E46 330i had a tough time trying to get away from my friend's Volvo S70. After talking to him after we stopped my friend said that in the tight turns he had difficulty keeping up because the FWD chassis had a significant amount of understeer. BMW guy says "Oh yeah, mine is FWD too."
We proceeded to point out the differential and axles at the rear wheels of the car. Total douchebag. He also apparently wrecked his brand new CLK driving like a dumbass on mountain roads at night.
