interior lights dont come on

    interior lights dont come on

    the lights are switched to the correct position and when i open either the passenger or driver door, the lights inside dont come on? I could see if one door sensor didnt work but both?

    It happens. Both mine don't work. Try wiggling them to see if they work when they are wiggled. if so then thats your culprit.

      well thats better than in my cavliear, the dome light wont shut off had topull the bulb.

        in the m5 i wiggle it like you said, didnt really work in the e30..suppose i should check the fuses

            my 85 318i had this problem for a long time, the connector the interior light delay module down under the d-side speaker had gotten corroded, I had to finally replaced the entire connector to get the lights working as they should.

              Does the switch feel sloppy?

              Mine had this problem for the driver's side. Turns out the switch was broken, and I just bought a new one.
              The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.
