Peake R5/FCX II BMW reset tool

Does this tool give any more specific or different information than pushing the pedal 5 times to read the CEL light?

probably just gives you the code. So the stomp test should do about the same thing if you know how to understand it.

You push on the brake and the check engine light will flash the code.

This just goes much faster AFAIK. Flip on the ignition, hit test, and 5 seconds later I get "--" telling me all is well. It also allows me to reset the check engine light, dunno if you can do that with the shorting of 2 pins trick.
