    moonroof problem

hey everyone, one of my friends was sitting in my car and it was getting kinda hot so i guess he opened the moonroof. when i came back he showed me that it would not close. so now, it opens all the way but when i try to close it, it stops 2-3 inches from the closing point and it starts raising up and jams. i looked at my brothers moonroof and his closes all the way then levels out, but mine tries to level out before it is all the way closed. it is a manual moonroof and i dont know what to do.

You have a sunroof. A moonroof is made of glass.

It got out of sync somehow.

Push the little wind deflector thing down while you close it...just don't let your fingers get caught in it.

        That may be your problem....

You need to drop the motor and manually operate the sunroof to get it fully open/tilted up, then work the motor until it reaches the matching stop spot, then reinstall the motor carefully.
