Valve adjustment! Holy crap, I hate when I forget things that are crazy simple.

Yeah, my weekend task (I don't think this weekend, as I won't get the parts in time) will be timing belt, tensioner, water pump, accessory belts, coolant hoses and thermostat. I might see if I can pull off plugs, wires and distributor too.

I'm not sure I can do a valve adjustment at this point.

You can do it! Super easy... just search for some write ups

I'm trying to figure out what to do long term with the engine.

I want a fun daily, not a track monster.

I've been contemplating something like this: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=281040

That swap has a lot of what I need, since I have an automatic at the moment.

I just can't see spending a ton of money on power I can't really use (The car will probably never see any track time)

To put it in perspective, I used to have a 2005 WRX (~220hp at the crank), all money was in suspension (sways, springs, end links, etc) and that was fun as hell to drive.

do you know somebody with an impact? That front crank bolt is a bitch. With the Bentley and patience I am sure you are able to take care of the maintenance. Take your time, everyone starts at n00b level :)

since you purchased an e30 you should think about posting some pictures and making a build thread in the project sub forum under members rides.
