    Fan Spray Washer Nozzles

I finally stumbled across an acceptable washer nozzle with a fan spray pattern:

    http://www.amazon.com/Dorman-47137-W.../dp/B000COCTXA

The only real problem with it is that it comes in a fairly awful gloss black. Luckily, a few minutes, some sandpaper, and SEM trim paint solve that problem. It's not an *exact* shape match, but it's a gasketed, aimable fan sprayer with a clamping base. The spray pattern is not as nice as, say, the sprayers on my E46, but it's a HUGE improvement. Especially as the stock nozzles really love to clog.

Good find; I've been looking something to refresh my nozzles as they are clogged and do not spray; definitely gonna look into this when I buy a new hood

You know, how is the fitment on a stock hood?

Thanks! I was just grumbling about the stock nozzles while driving this morning. Kind of like a geriatric chihuahua peeing on the windshield even on a good day...

Wow. What an excellent find! If you have a video of them in action, I would recommend you throw a write-up on here. I have had to clean mine countless times and this looks like a great find if it alleviates that.

Was just thinking this morning how much the ones on my e36 suck....

....and the e28s (I've snapped the nipples off them and the hose is just kinda zip tied up there).

These are also cheaper than OE. Cheaper + better =

Seeing as this e30's set of window wipers don't seize like a bad mother..
I will probably have a use for these

Are they independently aimable so that I can aim one up and over the e30 to shoot on peoples cars behind me? There is this dude that rolls up in front of me sometimes in my neighborhood and has one aimed so that the people behind him get a stream if they are too close. He has already "tagged" me twice and I figure I should return the "favor". I know the dude has aimed one specifically for this purpose no matter how he does not look in the rear view when he uses the windshield squirters and pretends to not know that one is improperly adjusted.

Its either this approach or to pressurize my old style water fire extinguisher and go huntin.

When I was about 17 I turned around the ones on my truck to face forward. No fan pattern on those, and they had some range. If I was behind a small car like a civic or corolla at a stop sign.... I could usually hit their windshield. It was fun watching them look up at the sky and wonder who was peeing on their car...

Fitment is pretty good. They install with a clamping nut and include a gasket. The footprint is *slightly* smaller than the stock sprayer - I used a light cutting pad with some sealant on it to clean up the hood before installing these. With a light color, you will likely need a cut to get rid of some discoloration.

Not really. You get one fan for each sprayer. Also, as it's a fan, it doesn't really have a lot in the way of range. Stock type nozzles are your best bet for aggressive washing.
