    which motor? M42?

i've tried three strut braces for my M42 and the only one that fit was the Hartge hinged bar. yes bitches, i said "hinged" It's better than no bar at all.

How does a hinged bar work?? that sounds strange, do you have a pic of it installed?

Hindged bars are great, mount them in place, bolt them down, and weld it solid.

          Not hindged anymore

you could aslo make your own, or like Jordan said, buy a hinged bar and weld.

Bav Auto has a replica of the Hartge twin tube bar which should work quite well.

As for my '91 318iC, I'm running the Eibach bar. It makes it much easier to install and remove when I'm working under the hood. I have it secured pretty tight but there's certainly the possibility that it may flex a little bit.
