that engine is a retrofit. it is a twin cam 4.6 out a lincoln mark 8 from 93 to 97. they were around 300 hp from the factory. it is basically a derated cobra engine with no supercharger.

Cool cars. My friends father has one in red collecting dust. I did not fit well in it.

I'm 6'2", with really long arms. Apparently I should cross this car off my bucket list? I've seen a few of them with my own eyes, never had a chance to sit in one.

Then again- 70s supercars are not generally known for their fantastic ergonomics...

Yep cross it off, might as well mark out anything ever made by Lotus while you are at it.

This one has 10's in the rear and 7's on the front. The way they came new. Some came with cheaper 8's in the rear. So folks took the rear 8's and put them on the front, with 10's in the rear. I think.

Nah, man. You just have to get thin seats. Serious. Not much room for adjusting around during long drives though. The lowness of the car is nuts. GT-40 was 40 inches high. Pantera was a GT-40 replacement. Euro ride was 41 inches-ish. Shifter elbow is RIGHT in front of the harmonic balancer pulley. Steering wheel is too close to driver.Italian body, American V8, German trans-axle, FTW. Thank Lee Iacoccoa, Tom Tjaarda, and Alejandro De Tomaso.:loco:

I'm at 5' 11" and i had plenty of room to slide around the cabin on the unbolted down seats!

Makes for easy, on the road, timing adjustments though.

Probably gonna have to agree and say cross it off.

I rode in an elise and it seemed fine? Maybe the drivers side is worse fitment but idk, I do know that the seats felt a little thinner than cardboard.

I'm 6'1", 200 lbs. Its been a few years since I sat in it but I haven't changed size. If I recall it was my legs that felt uber cramped and my upper body was alright. If I can go sit in it again I'll update this.

I sat in a friends a week ago. Beautiful, correct, early model (Pre-L). I'm 5'11 and I JUST fit. Not at all comfortable. My knees were right up against the dash. Who cares though. So much want.
