I stand up, pull my dick out, and asked my gf to give me some noggin... Well, she starts laughing at me and I freaked out and ran off and locked myself in a bedroom.
Along with the Ferrari Testarossa, Lamborghini Countach and Mercedes-Benz W126 S class, the Porsche 911 Turbo Slantnose was a car that defined the style and…
geeez...how did I leave out a GTV....a step nose.....or a GTA rep!.....good call Will.....
Honestly, I've never really been a big fan of the stepnose GTVs. The 69 GTV is the same body as the stepnose, except it doesn't have the step nose and does have 4 headlights. The '71 and later GTVs were a totally different body (There is no such thing as a US spec '70 GTV, they weren't imported that year.) The dash of the 1750 is also by far the best one of the bunch. The tach and speedo are right where they need to be, and the gauges themselves are just good looking gauges.
(That was the dash in my '69, looks good for sitting in a barn for 30 years)
You can get a nice slant nose for 30-80k, that guy is asking top end like no other. A DP model is very hard to find, I found a few over the years ranging from 50-100k depending on years and model. I dream of getting a clean 935 slant and handing it over to RWB for a custom wide body.
But that one is a 911 slant conversion not the same. Search for 935 slant and compare to the 911 nose conversion. Both are sexy so no worries!
Almost forgot! I have been searching for any old Ducati or BMW bikes to build a cafe racer. Ducati 900ss or a BMW 75/6.
yeah, i remember seeing ads for the DP cars in European Car when i was in high school. claimed 2.9 0-60 i think? still boggles the mind a bit they found that much traction in a RWD street car.
edit: if you look at the ebay listing, the last image is the build sheet, vin contains 935? i'm confused
