I have had many people PM me for shipping quotes about my S50 for sell. The one company I have been using quotes from is YRC.com. Though out looking around for companies, people say they ship them cross country for $400. Anyone have an recommendations on who is cheap to ship through?

ForwardAir used to be mentioned alot, but I've never used them.
The only way to get a good rate with a trucking company is to somehow get a good discount off of their standard rates. Most companies that use trucking companies on a regular basis have accounts set up with pretty strong discounts, sometimes ~60-80% off "list" rates. That's what you need to try to get somehow. Ask around, friends, family, anyone who might work somewhere that has rates with a trucking company- and then ask them if you can either ship through them, or contact their sales rep at the trucking company and ask politely if you can get a discount.
You also might want to call R&L carriers (assuming they have terminals in your area), they are typically pretty cheap. Don't bother getting online freight quotes, they rarely give any kind of good discount- you need to talk to an actual person.

I have used forward air..it was $150 to ship an m10 cross country.
I have also used uship...you will end up with a broker but the price still wasn't bad at all and it was door to door .www.classicdaily.net

It's how I was able to ship an engine/trans/everything else for a swap for $100. My dad was the floor manager of a warehouse for a long time, so we were able to get a deal through Estes.Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com
