Went to check if my car had an LSD, it should because it's an 87' 325is. It doesn't have one! its got a 3.73 open diff:hitler: It even says on the build sheet LSD.:curse: who would swap out an LSD? I assumed my car had a 4.10 LSD because at 75MPH it's at 3500RPM

There's a very easy way to tell if the car's got an LSD during the test drive.... and it's called a U turn.

i don't think 325's came with a 4:10....as far as i knew m42's only came with them.

How long have you had your car? Diff probably died while with p.o and just got whatever alternative he could get. Also, I doubt it will have a 4.10 anyway. I think it should have a 3.93 or something like that. 75mph on a 4.10 will run you close to 4k

Manual cars came with a 3.73, auto cars with a 4.10.

the difference between a 3.73 and a 4.10 is about 400 RPM at 70

For some reason this makes me feel better about my 325i. Maybe all 325is owners dont have a lsd

jack it up and try spinning the wheels, but if its 5spd it should have a 3.73

guys I made sure, the wheels spun opposite directions and the tag said 3.73 with no S so yeah I guess I just have some bad luck

Seems way more than that. With my 4.10 and huge tires I can only run about 85
