Should Josh sell his 86 325eS for a euro Henna 318i?

Let's hear it! I've seen this car running around town for a few months now, and today Andrew and I finally ran it down and talked to the owner. It's an 83 318i (M10), Henna Red 5 speed, with 16" Hartge wheels. We only taked to her for a few minutes, so I didn't get a whole lot on it, but it looked very straight (one dent in the door). The interior looked good upon a quick glance, but it had seatcovers and a dash cover. It had a VERY expensive MOMO wood and aluminum steering wheel, and the rest looked to be pretty nice. The only drawback is the motor, it's a rebuilt M10, that someone put a downdraft Weber on. She wants around $2k OBO for it, but she said she'd be willing to take much less, so I know I could sell my car for enough to buy it, and pick up an M20B25 with a tranny and swap it in, no problem. I've dreamed of having a Henna euro model, and I've always wanted Hartge wheels. What should I do!?

Stick with one car, otherwise you'll spend the next 4 months bitching about what you're finding wrong with this car. You know your car inside and out... do you want to be worrying about the ins outs of a new car with a baby on the way???

2ndly, coming from the man who always posts "Its your car, if you like it, fuck everyone elses opinion" why are you asking us? ;)

Oh,and the MOMO wheel isnt that expensive.
      Below the radar...

I voted no becasue I am always one to say that once you have and you have put a ton of work into it you gotta keep it. It sounds like a sweet car, but I really dig the es.

        pics?

Also, would you pull the mods off the es before selling or how would you work all that?

Ah hell, you guys are probably right, so I closed the poll. I love my car, I don't really want to sell it. You just know that feeling that you get when you see something really cool and kinda rare, and you just start thinking about how you can get it, not really thinking it through.

Well, if anyone else is interested in it, I've got the girl's phone number.

Its a m10 318i, thats like a weeks work to just buy outright.

Buy it as a second (third?) car.

ya seriously, if you can swing just picking the car up and storing it, maybe slowly transform it into what your eS isnt?

I wish I had the money to just buy it from her outright, I would have just bought it right then and there. I could probably swing it away from her for like $1300, but I just don't have it to spend. My wife is on maternity leave until April, so I can't blow any money.
