You have cameras so always have atleast one pointed at it, since you don't have a garage, box it in with your other cars.

If you find anything missing on your car, get a bat, introduce Mr. Bat to their windshields.

im not really afraid, because maybe they are just some e30 guys who want to meet but when i come outside, they take off as if nothing was going on. also i know my neighborhood, they dont live anywhere around me.

Yeah dude the e30 could be a coincidence, the taped high's are the only indication that the owner knows anything about the car. Call the cops the next time you see them and simply the fact of a patrol car rolling through the street may deter them.

...I was just kidding as I thought it was funny that you joined r3v to possibly identify some creepers/money collectors, guys who might rob you. Granted, I applaud taking the law into your own hands, but I'd just call the police after the second time. Hitmen rolling around in a stock e30 haven't left the cocaine driven 80's, they don't even realize their life peaked almost 30 years ago. I bet they were wearing full windbreaker suits. I digress.

this is probably a bad idea but you could just walk up to them to see if they want to talk if they are true E30ers they will get out and talk shop with you if they Arn't they will ether shoot you (worse case) or floor it to get away from you than you can call the police and say they are stalking you, and you fear for your life or something

Theres been these two guys hanging around the alley behind my house and then in the main street in front of my house a week later. Both times i went outside to see what they were up to and they immediately left. Unfortunately the car in my driveway is definitely something one would want to steal (no, i don't have a garage). Im starting to get pretty uncomfortable so was hoping maybe someone could bring these two out of the darkness or maybe they could just come forward themselves and tell me what they've been doing out there. I live in escondido, the vehicle was a late model (plastic bumper) e30 coupe, 325i not 325is. It looked Safari Beige and was sitting on bottle caps. It had no window tint and was not automatic (manual transmission) or at least it sounded like it. It is tall (not lowered) and appeared to be completely stock other than the distinguishing "cross hatch" high beams. It looked like just electrical tape over the lights, but who knows, they may have been ebay specials. I do have the license plate but i have no real reason to post it on here unless somebody asks for it. I have 8 infared security cameras surveilling my property at all times so if any incident does take place, at least ill have a good idea of the culprit. Anyways, help is always appreciated guys. You dont know me because im trying to keep this somewhat discreet but, I can almost guarantee most of you san diego guys have met me and ive been of assistance in what way or another. Please, any info would help.

p.s. When i was younger (like highschool) and i would see someone with a cool bmw or something in their driveway, i typically would take that route on a normal basis so that if the owner was ever outside i could say hi and make a new friend. If this is the case here, please just make it obvious. I would love to be comfortable enough to lock my gun safe when i go to sleep.
