Need help no brake pressure but no leaks

    Hey fellas,

I have a 1997 328i e36, I have no pressure on my brakes. I replaced the mc 3 times. I have no leaks not that I could find. I would bleed them and in about 4months of daily driving my brakes would gradually lose pressure and get slushie. Eventually my pedal would go straight to the floor and the car would still be moving. I have done a lot of research on this problem and some posts say its the abs module. But I have not read anything saying that the abs module would allow my brakes to reach the floor. I'm not exactly sure what's going on. It's definitely not the booster either or not that I believe. If you guys have any info or friends that have had a similar problem let me know. Everything helps!

perhaps there is air trapped in the abs pump. google 'bench bleed'. also your booster may have given up the ghost, or you may have some really crappy pads.

Hahaha yeah I thought about the pads but they aren't even 50% done. Nah it's not the bench bleed. We did that correctly. I replaced the booster not too long ago. Could it be faulty booster?

eh.. I don't know. it sounds like you're getting air in the system somehow.

Yeah, I've talk to a few friends who are techs and they told me to check the abs module. Other than that its probably a leak somewhere along the lines that run to each wheel.

Were the replacement master cylinders generic rebuilt parts? If so, get a new OE master cylinder.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

it isn't the booster. if that were bad the brakes would just take a lot more effort. does the fluid level stay up?

i see you are in socal, but did you car come from somewhere else? is it rusty? put your car on jack stands and inspect the length of all of your brake lines and the rubber lines too. look for leaks. you are definitely getting air in your system. it is just a matter of figuring out how it is getting in there. most likely you have a rust hole in one of your lines. perhaps one of the calipers are bad and it is leaking there.

Yeah it's oem mc, yeah the fluid is always full. I figured if it was a leak somewhere along the lines it would be leaking on the floor but i never see any leaks under my car. No rust thankfully haha, I will look along the lines. But does anyone know if it could be the abs? Reason why I ask is cause I want to rule out the abs system.
