    Durable engine/exhaust mani paint?

I have used different types of high temp paint for valve covers, intakes and they always seem to not be durable or scratch easily.

Is there a good engine enamel at a generic auto store you recommend?

I need to paint exhaust manifolds, block, head, valve covers, accessories so they are accessible to a variety of heats and different locations.

Maybe there is a different primer that helps? All parts will be soda blasted pre painting. Thanks

I used a "VHT - Very High Temperature" spray paint from a local store, could have been autozone. I'm not sure if that's the brand or not, that's all it says on the can, besides "flameproof."

vht with good prep and 3 coats held up for one day of hard driving on my turbo car. It all burned off. Really the best way is a good quality baked on ceramic coating. Just remember prep work and heating is the most important part

                  Lol plastidip.

I was thinking of just getting the highest heat paint they had, and lay it all on the block and head. I imagine that the exhaust manifolds and my turbo adapter is a lost cause.

Does anyone recommend a primer/possibly a clear to protect this moreso? I really just dont have the money/time to send these parts out to get painted. I think I might just heat wrap the manifold adapter anyways.

I got some flameproof paint at autozone and painted the exhaust manifolds on my 79 kawasaki KZ650... it holds up good i guess.

I was under the impression that painting the head was a no no?
