My friend knew a guy that went to compete on the show. They make the imports run 400+ tread wear tires.......

I did a track day in Millville, NJ .. It was a pro-touring meet set up by the guy Bill who is on that show. I ran my E30 on the track against mostly resto-mod pro touring stuff with tons of money put into them, and I ended up right in the middle of the pack with best lap times, that was when I had the M20 still.
This year I hope to go again with my S50 swap and give those rednecks a better showing. I recognize most of the cars featured on that show, many of them were running on the track with me

i think its a great concept, but executed very poorly.
I agree with whoever said its all setup. I think it would be a great show if they used race class requirements + rules and had even match-ups with american vs non-american cars.
the way its setup now, the american cars just get more HP as the rounds grow which makes things unfair. I dont remember which episode, but i do remember a final matchup with an import with ~250hp vs a muscle car with 750... I mean come on. what do you expect. thats not even close to a reasonable matchup.98 M3/4/5

I can't stand the host's overly stereotypical redneck act. The idea of the show is cool but like any "reality" show, it's all staged.91 318is M50 swapped

the show really is bad....... they make sure to do everything they can to cheat the imports.
my friend knows the guy with the v8 swapped FD from the first episode and they would not let him run at all until they decided that it would good for ratings to show him being disqualified.
but on the other hand the track they are running at is amazing. It is Carolina Motorsports Park(CMP) I haved raced the track before and it really has a good mix of corners and straight that makes it really fun. too bad the show only runs half the course
