Got a new window at 9am this morning. I like my cars to be pristine if possible, so i got it fixed first thing in the morning. New window with labor and everything only set me back $193 out the door. Cleaned the tits out of the interior to make it feel like mine again. Pretty sure i got every nook and cranny to get all the glass, but im sure ill find more.
Damn dude. I'm assuming you were at the Olive garden on 59 next to david taylor?
My mom got her car broken into there too.
I think it'll be a good idea to stop leaving my gun in the car too. Shits crazy these days
It was the olive garden on 59 by gessner, not sure if that the one your talking about. But yea, not so good of an area of houston, but guess thats what i get for living here lol.
Sucks man. Had the same thing happen to me about 2 years ago. It's a weird feeling.
Yea it definately is. Makes you feel kinda violated, like a personal attack lol. I cleaned the hell out of the interior of my car today so it would feel like no one has been in it.

Already getting a new window installed at 9am today. Just over 12 hours after it happened. Progressive got me a good deal on a new window with the tinting from Safelite, will only cost me $193 tax and all
Edit: OH and they will clean the glass out of my car for me. Yay
It was a Samsung Galaxy s3, and the app is called Lookout Security. Its mostly free, but for 2.99 a month you get the wipe and lock feature. I just use the free version, and then paid for 1 month of premium today so i could use the lock and wipe features :)
Yeah, people don't want to work for theirs anymore...rather just take others property and take their chances getting caught. Right now, identity theft is rampant so be careful. Check to make sure ur registration, etc is still there and don't leave any ID's in the car.
That sucks man, but good thing it was just a phone and not your wife's purse where she keeps her SS and other important things.
Yea, i dont let her keep her SS in her purse. But that was my first thought when i saw the broken glass. Was like "shit your purse!". Honestly could care less about the phone, verizon will redlist the esn so it cant be activated again, and my data will be wiped. But canceling credit cards and fighting fraudulent charges would have sucked.
And incase anyone is wondreing. Im not a Honda Civic si fanboy ricer lol. Only bought it after my first e30 died, and i was in a bind to get a DD, so bought it on a whim since its a fun, reliable car. Just wanted to throw that out there before someone flamed me for having a honda civic :p
Damn, shit luck man, sorry to hear it, I guess it could have been a lot worse.
Yea , i actually almost went back out to get my phone, so i might have confronted them had i did that. I have a CHL, but my pistol is at the manufacturer for repair, so it might have not been pretty. Area of houston i was in isnt the best to begin with, and most criminals arent afraid to shoot people around here
