By the time get back to the states I'll only be an E5. I'm single and dont see that changing. I really wish i could go with an off the wall swap. A non us model e30 and a euro only motor would be the tits!! Just too pricey for someone like me.
as for how much power can you really use in a car this small there i agree with you. How big of a rear tire can we go with mildish flares? I'm looking for a motorsport BTCC street warrior wagon kinda look. Dont want the M3 flares though.89 320i Touring/M52 Swap w 4.10 Gears/K&N intake/Catback Exhaust/KW coils/Wilwood brakes/Azev A 16x7.5F 16x9R 215/40/16 F&R

I mean I'll be honest, I have plenty of fun with my stock m20b25 car. I know it "doesn't have enough power" for a lot of people, but I think it's plenty for regular driving and the chassis is really where the fun comes from in the twisties anyway.Interested in vintage cars? i was stationed in Sig as well, if i could go back in time i'd still find my mini (not the BMW type) and have my italian friends massage it into a wide body beast. still regret not doing itMy old Style 5 Thread / My Swap

There are lots of interesting cars that are relatively common in Italy but impossible to find in the USA. We all love the E30, but I don't see the point in importing something you can easily get here in the States.
Off the top of my head, I would be looking into cars like these:
- Peugeot 205 GTI
- Autobianchi A112
- Fiat 131 Mirafiori
- Innocenti Mini
- Renault 5 GT Turbo.
You should also be able to get a 2.5 liter version of the Benz 190E Cosworth; a 190E 2.5-16 (non-Evo) is an awesome car. Cars like the Lancia Delta HF Integrale, Ford Sierra Cosworth (or Escort RS Cosworth) may be out of reach financially, but are widely available in Italy. Tons of cool choices.sigpic

All of those fit that restriction, and if not the only one I'm not sure about is the Innocenti Mini.Interested in vintage cars? Ever thought about racing one? Info, photos, videos, and more can be found at www.michaelsvintageracing.com!
