Took the 318is to autocross first time

My son drove in his first autocross event with the 318is and placed second in the novice class of 13 drivers. His scores were low enough for him to have placed in more experienced classes as well. I was really blown away at how well he drove. Out of his four runs, he didn't get any cone penalties or get any DNF's. My friend also raced with my 318is and placed fourth. My son ran so much better than me his first time out that I'm going to let him run the whole season. I'm fine with being the happy dad on the side line. His scores consistently got lower with every run.

crappy video, go pro coming soon

My son's e36 is down right now for the dreaded sub frame reinforcement. While doing bushings we noticed small tears. Luckily he took two years of metal tech in high school so he'll do all the welding.

Awesome! Was hoping to finally get into it this year but my car has developed a slipping clutch I haven't had time to fix. Hopefully getting to a few if I can.
