Averaged 80 miles a week in three years owning my first e30. Caveat is that mine's essentially rust-free, so keep it babied and drive it on dry days mostly. Splits the duties with a bike and truck, so most of the miles are fun...very fun.

Now that I'm caught up on timing belt and cooling system overhaul, am ready to rack up a few more miles now.

I have a 1/2 mile commute to work, but always seem to make it a 30-45 minute journey....

          Possible close to 50 miles daily, x 4 + 200 miles on weekends = 400 miles weekly.
Average 1 full tank of petrol, every 5-6 days or so.

I really do enjoy the fun driving the most though and, all of the "cool car man" comments I get on the road too. :D

I commute to school and have class everyday. 60 mile round trip 5 days a week so I put approximately 300+ miles on my e34. At least its a fun commute since I have to drive through the mountains.

Usually 15ish miles a day. Sometimes if it's a nice night I'll go for a cruise around the city just because.

I got my E30 so I can put less miles on my 135i. 3 weeks after getting the suspension etc all done the conrod shredded a bearing. Im putting about 20,000 miles a year on the 135i, which is going to drop its resale value pretty quick.

How much of that is aimless driving and how much actually has a destination?

I am on par with about 25k miles a year, probably plus some. I just really like driving.

I keep it down, not much time for joyrides right now unfortunately. But its nice to have a car that's averaged only about 6200 miles/year throughout its life :)

30 miles a week to work I wish it were more as the car never gets up to temp. Not good for it
