So the z4 has a repetitive clunking noise all the time. It speeds up and slows down with the speed of the car. It gets better when you turn left and stays the same when you turn right.
My first thought, left front wheel bearing because of the turning thing. But it doesn't sound like any wheel bear failure I've hear. Replaced it, didn't fix it.
Next thought was a warped wheel or flat spotted tire. Got a good wheel and tire and rotated it around all 4 corners. Didn't fix it.
So my brother is messing with it tonight trying to figure it out and says he can still hear the clunking with the rear of the car up in the air when he spins the wheels.
He says he can feel it when he puts his hand on the diff. I was trying to figure out what it could be in the diff. I was thinking maybe it could be the driver side axle.
If you just have ideas on what the issue could be, feel free to share.
