    EDIT:

A little green plug off the back of my cluster. Am wondering what it is, and if it belongs to the cruise control system. TIA

Well.. I can tell you that it's NOT a BMW pn#. But maybe you already knew that.
I put it in ETK under foreign car part number and it didn't find anything.
What's the number on? Can you give more detail?

        Hmmm...

That is what it says. And it says Sachs on it.

A little black box I found by the ABS comp. Just wondering what it is? I should have put a desc before. Doh!

        Maybe this #65.81-1 373 726

Can I download the ETK anywhere? OR do I have to buy it?

            Hey.. that 65 81 1 373 726 did come up with a match.
Some kind of relay related to the OBC. Does that sound possible?

To my knowledge, ETK cannot be downloaded.
It shouldn't be too hard to find though.

Is it neccesary for selling my OBC "kit"?

And where is this alarm/gong that goes with the OBC?

its for the code feature to work, works with the fuel pumps, i have the box, but its a real PITA to wire in, so i said the hell with it.

so its up to you, its not needed for the rest of the OBC Function, just code..

My ETK came on a set of 2 discs I believe.
It covers pretty much all models. (not brand new..)
There are a few different versions.. but I don't know the details.
ETK has been a lifesaver for me because I can't find parts for my 323 without the PN#. However I don't find that I use it that much for my 318. Just a thought..
People on here are always glad to be helpful and search for you.. atleast until you can run across a good deal on ETK :-)

I'm not sure what Ryan(supereta) is talking about exactly, but I believe it's something different.

I beleive the gong is the standard door gong that is as annoying as hell when you leave your door open. If so, its connected the the large trim peice under the steering wheel (no the sterring wheel cover, the biiig trim peice between the pedals and where the steering colum goes into the dash)

yeah, the door gong on the e30 is compatible on all models, regardless of OBC or not..
