Bottle Cap Hose Reel [BMW House]

So you wanna step up your gardening game? Is your house a proper representation of your passion? Probably not. That's ok. If youre tired of the little old lady down the street out doing you year after year in the gardening club I understand your frustration.

    It's time to step up.

And have just the thing that will really make your garden standout from the crowd.

    Step one: Find bottle cap
Step two: drill two holes in it. One at the top, one at the bottom
Step three: mount that baby to a stud in the wall
Step four: wrap your hose around it
Step five: show your neighbors who's boss

    Here is my final product.

Bonus points for using a Goodyear hose. I couldn't pass this up when I saw it at the store.

And here's a shot of what the front yard normally looks like

    Cheers!

lol. Cool project. I have like nine bottle caps in my possession. So I've been considering getting creative and making furniture. May be a couch or chair. This is further inspiration!

Thanks. That's just how this happened. An extra bent green bottle is worthless... Or so I thought!

Why did you drill holes in the wheel?

Just use a long lag bolt with a washer and put it through one of the lug bolt holes into the wall/stud and it works just fine.

Guten Parts has a Racing Dynamics wheel for a hose reel. Always thought that was cool...but then, everything at Guten Parts is cool!

Perfect timing for this thread! I've got a style5 with a really bent barrel I'm going to use for a hose reel. Was trying to figure out how to mount it.

Not a bad idea! The distance from the center of the wheel to the wall concerns me. I guess if its threaded really well into the wood it wouldn't be a problem. What ever though, in my case I didn't care about the wheel.
