I gather that O.P. was engaged in some type of physical tug-of-war with the soft top release handle. However it is still unclear to me whether he won or not as there is no trim around the handle, yet the roof is indeed down in the above pics.

best I could do, but functions, DONE! Never doing that again, EVER! Sucked so bad, spent an hour fishing two nuts and one of the wire connector thingees out of the black hole that is the window space inside the exterior panel.

So lost, since you are Rocky does that mean you managed to replace a door handle? If so congrats? What is next Rocky?...the air filter?

I could nt get my hands down the window "black hole" and hold the handle in the right place, took some fidgeting since i was only able to use two fingers to put the wire ends. in the little holders and then use two fingers to snap the little caps on before wire ends popped out of the little holders. Must be easier way of doing it but couldn't find anyone to suggest it.
