    BMW shatters Guinness drift record

    the previous record, held by a camaro, was around 11 miles. The new m5 sustained it's drift for over 51 miles.

    Some people are complaining that BMW cheated by wetting the surface. Pretty cool anyways.

        Well.....He "drifted" for 50 miles. I don't think the tires would hold out without water.

        I'm I the only one that thinks this "drifting" thing is getting a bit long in the tooth?

                  My first response was "maybe the meatheads in the Camaro weren't smart enough to wet the track".

                  Why only 51 miles? Did he run out of gas? Surely they could refuel it while moving, maybe use a touring so they could have relief drivers 4 deep. 51 miles seems pathetically beatable, why is that even a record?

                      like most of the shit talkers in the youtube section, i'm pretty sure people poking fun at this drift record have never actually held a drift other than maybe stepping the ass end of their car out in a turn. holding a continuous drift is not only work its also great fun.
