    I sold my 88 325is!

I didn't think I'd be parting with it so soon (I only bought it last June), but the original owner twisted my arm and made me an offer I couldn't refuse.

    Out with the old...

    In with the new...

I'm actually gonna really miss the 325. It's a terrific car that's fun to drive, tinker on, and own. In a perfect world, I'd keep both of the E30's. Oh well, the world may not be perfect, but I'm not complaining...

I've grown a little tired of going to PR time after time and have been planning to attend some PIR club HPDEs this year. When does the season start down there?

I agree on both points. most desireable 325 E30, IMO.

Youll stop missing the 325 as soon as you drive the ///M3 (especially set up as I can see in the pics) in any canyons. I own an ///M and a "regular" E30, I can tell you. Just dont drive the ///M3 everyday, it wont be in your best interests for a plethora of reasons.

P.S. How many miles does the ///M have?

Thanks everyone! I've wanted an M3 for a long time, and I'm thrilled that I found one of this quality. My friend poured a lot of time, effort, and money into restoring this car and it wasn't easy for him to part with it. He's driving it up to me in 3 weeks (sort of his farewell drive)...just in time for the first HPDE of the season at PR.

                              1. I admit that I used to dislike the Cardinal Red interior too, but I think it's because I saw it on white cars (still don't like that combo). The color has grown on me over the years, and I think it looks fantastic with the Diamond Black exterior.

                              2. I've always thought that basketweaves look best on the E30. Period. I don't love the wheels on the 325, but I don't think they look bad either. I think they look muscular and give the 325 a hunkered down look. As a plus, they are +25mm offset, easy to keep clean, and only cost $99 each new.

                              3. My friend let me drive this car in the Hollywood Hills last summer and I fell in love with it then. Its chassis is tight, the cockpit is rattle free, and there is no slack in the steering or drivetrain - it truly looks/drives like a brand new car. And with it's Bilstein/Eibach setup and 2.5L Evo III "clone" motor, it's absolutely one of the most satisfying sports cars I've ever driven.

                              4. I drive a company car during the week, so the M will only come out of the garage on weekends. Even though, this car will be DRIVEN.

                              5. BTW, Joe has Nitto 225/40-17 tires mounted on the Style 5's right now. He bought them for their width (the only tire sold in that size) to prevent rubbing, not for their performance - and he confirms that they're crap.

                              See you at the track!
