    outside Temp guage

How come out of the 3 e30s i have owned i have always had a functioning temp guage

they must of killed it on that design and i dont know why they didnt stick with it because my e39 has been through two temp sensors and its 15 years newer

They didn't seal the sensor inside the little plastic housing. Moisture gets in and and it corrodes. I sell an aftermarket for $15 shipped that will last a lifetime, and is dead on accurate to boot.

It also bypasses the stock connector - that can be a source of problems as well.

I have one of G-Squared's temp sensors, and I gotta say; I am more than impressed and satisfied. It works like a charm and is guaranteed to last.

Love having the little things fixed. Thanks GG!

Mine hs worked as long as I've had my car, but, when it does fail I'll be going to GG.

qft, I enjoy having people ride in my car for the first time & ask "What year is this car?" when they see the fully functional obc, central locking, power antenna & mirrors, and so on. BMW, killing it since....well....since they started making shit. I mean, poop.
