I dont' blame the OP for going with an FRS. It's the modern-day equivalent to the e30! (but safer and more fuel efficient ;))Leave a comment:

I hate you. I haven't even opened this thread until now to tell you that seeing this pop up repeatedly in the new posts search has caused me to replay that stupid song over and over in my head since yesterday.
Waffles yourself. :) I'm going to go put a bullet in my head to end this madness. (not really, so don't call the police.)Leave a comment:

Thinking that might be next fun car, I had one for 5 months while I was at Misawa with a honda engine and it was fun.Leave a comment:

They were not common in Northern Japan. The ones I did see were Tech II 320i and were automatics. Autos in Japan were very common.
Court do you see any Mini Cooper Clubman like this? I debate getting another fun car but would do a Honda Vtec drivetrain in it.

They have a billion domestics there to drift with, so they don't touch European shit. E30 is more for status than fun there. It is a small island so most cars would have low mileage compared to cars from the states, but that does not mean the cars are not driven hard. Drifting is huge in Japan right now and you know how hard they rev those cars. You would be safer buying cars from this continent.Leave a comment:

Yeah, I was getting tired of the shopping around for a good E30. So I went with the FR-S instead. And I'm having a blast with it so far. But as my car stable grows, there may be room for an E30 in the future. ;)Wow yeah I've been following these theads... and it ends in a scion?
You were gonna pay out the ass to have a car brought over from japan?
$3000 and a plane ticket to california would've landed you exactly what you thought you were looking for.
But hey congrats on getting a car!Leave a comment:
