    Chrome window trim thieves!

Is it known or common for the chrome window trim to just fall off a car? I just came home from work and opened my passenger side door to get my keys out my jacket and noticed the rough metal around the door edge, then it hit me, MY TRIM IS MISSING!

WTF!? I think someone jacked my trim! Unless these things just happen to fall off on their own

    Missing trim makes me sad

    /end rant

That is quite strange, I have never seen that happen.

    Are both sides missing?

If you were to steal it wouldnt you steal shadowline trim?

same thing happened to mine, went to the post office late one evening, the next morning no trim. on just the passenger side. This was just the outer gutter trim piece, all the clips were gone also.

Mine blew off on the highway, as did my sisters on her '87.

Its quite common for the upper most gutter trim to remove itself from the car at speed. There are 3-4 press on clips that hold it onto the channel, these rust/corrode and lose their bite. When they do... up and off it goes.

I suppose it flew off on the highway then. The previous night, I was cruising at about 125mph, so that could have been the culprit.

Oh well, this calls for shadowline! (I will have to find some new trim to replace the missing piece of course)

Mine TRIED to fly off on the highway @ 120mph... I cracked the window an inch and held onto it with one hand so I could pull over.

Nothing leaves my car without my permission :D

Yeah I did that with the driver's side, but it's a little hard to do that on the passenger side, driving by yourself at 80-90mph.
