    5 lug conversion

I have an S52 swap on my 91 E30 and am starting to take it to the track. The rear end dosnt grab as well as I would like it to. Its a little loose around the turns. Thinking of doing a 5 lug conversion. Do you think this will help solve my problem or maybe I should just use rubber trail arm bushings and get a weld on toe, camber kit. Your thoughts please

Yes, an extra lug per hub is a proven improvement in traction control.

I'm actually planning a 6-lug conversion from a Nissan X-Terra. I read on the internet that the hubs are a direct-swap.

I think a wider tire would be a good start to your problem.

taxsonu1 - can you be more specific on what your car is setup like?

Is it oversteering coming out of the corners, be specific.

        What springs/shocks?
        diff?
        wheels?
make / model and size of tires?
        alignment?

Just going from 4 to 5 lug won't change anything by itself.

What is the front to rear balance and the cross weights?

Stock suspension or something else? And if something else, what sways and how are they set?

A 5-lug swap, by itself isn't going help if the car isn't properly balanced, does not have track worthy spring rates or doesn't have appropriate roll compensation. Wheel alignments (enough camber and correct toe) are just as important. Fix the basic problems before considering a 5-lug swap.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

You need a modified subframe for adjustable camber and toe. This will make a huge difference.
Drive it hard. Maintain it well.
