IIRC - (and it's late - so I could be off) - the SA 333i were converted by the SA BMW, and all the conversion work was done in SA - not in Germany. They used alpina parts to get it done. So they very well could have started with a 318i.

hmm....that radiator is something else. i suppose it must have like four cores since the surface area is so much smaller? seems like that would be the ticket when doing an m30 swap rather than beating the crap out of the firewall. are these still available? what happens to the a/c condenser since this is now where that part should go? i guess it just goes forward more? i see no engine driven fan?sigpic
