Get a cheap second car so you can do the e30 right. I drive a Saturn most of the time so I can build the e30 exactly how I want it and not rush putting it back together over the weekend so I can drive it during the week. -

Plus, acceleration loses its appeal after a while, you are always going to want something faster after you become used to the car you have. Tight handling, and being able to whip around corners is ALWAYS fun. I'd like a "slow" e30 or miata with a proper suspension set up over a STI any day of the week.Leave a comment:

I bought my e30 after selling a wrx swapped OBS wagon with about 260whp. It was a hoot to drive, and a total sleeper, but does not compare to the e30 at all. You'll end up spending well more on the subaru that you do on your e30, and end up regretting the decision.
Any STI with 130k miles should be a no-go, those cars are always abused and you're just inheriting someone else's problemsLeave a comment:

im at a crossroad
im bored of my e30.. I know crazy right? so now im thinking of selling it and buying either a frs or older wrx/sti, ive run insurance quotes for a frs and sti, not a wrx tho.. the frs would run me $300/month and the sti is $260/month. outragous!! im at the point where I think having no maintence worries would be wonderful, but do I wanna pay $650, car payment and insurance costs, just to have a warranty? then I think sti, quick good looking awd. but do I wanna pay $500+/month to own a car that will most likey be at 130-150k on the odo and probably have major maintence cost soon... then I start to think about why im bored with the e30. LACK OF POWER!
sooooo should I just motor swap it then? s50, m60, ls1? cars paid off, insurance is sub $100/month. cost probably 5-6k to do. which is a hell of a lot cheaper then a newer car... decisions decisions..
what you guys think? im sure some of you have come to this point.Tags: None
