When it was first posted a few months ago it said "negotiable" next to the price but that seems to have changed... he does say "we can work out a price" in the description though.

But seriously, any advice on the mileage? That's one of my biggest worries.

Don't worry too much about mileage... More important is the maintenance history and current condition. Find an independent bmw shop with swap knowledge and pay them to do a full inspection. I would not have it inspected at a dealer (i dont think dealers work with e30s much these days). And drive the car to see how you like it!

Well the consensus seems to be that this car is worth it. DO IT I WILL.

I bet the dealer would have no idea what to do with themselves. You need to go to an independent that has experience with 24v swap e30's. Otherwise you are wasting the money on the inspection.

BMW dealers don't know shiz about e30s; most done even know it exists. Let alone a swap car..?

Don't worry about the mileage, it's just a number ;)
As long as the shop you take it to checks all the bushings and the health of the engine (compression test, smog, etc), tranny, diff, wheel bearings, you should be good.
Since according to the owner the suspension and drivetrain were swapped, the original mileage doesn't mean much. You can check the body for rust yourself.

It is one good looking car though, so good luck, and have fun with it!

Did you ever look at the car? I'm really curious what the deal is as it has been on CL for ages now.
