    Judd V8 e82 Hillclimb car

    So I found out about this dude Georg Plasa. He was a german Hillclimber... he ran a judd v8 powered e36 320. He then switched to this ridiculous e82. it cost him almost 500k euros... completely custom.. unfortunately he died in an accident while racing.. check out his insane 1!

                It's sad. The reports say that he confused this turn with another similar one and came in on 5th gear instead of 3rd with no signs of slowing down from what the logs say. The impact was so severe that it tore his 5 point. 200k to 0 in a few meters.

                He had a cardiac arrest when the chopper landed at the hospital.

                      I noticed on the car along with other high end hill climb cars that the backsides of the wheel wells are open. This is obviously for aerodynamic reasons but can anyone give me specifics?

                          I beleive its because the wells trap a tol of turbulent air. A lot if time you will see vents on the top of the well to pull air out. I imaging the hill climb cars can have the backside open because they dont race with other people on the track. If a car were to bump into the exposed tire in say, a grand am race, it would probably pick up the front end of the following car and cause a wreck
