salvage title isnt really a big deal on these old cars. its not like yer buying an e30 M3. if the car looks clean, and drives straight, what the big deal with a salvage title. granted i wouldnt pay $3k for a salvaged e30, but somewhere sub $2500 is cool.

FRONT VALENCE IS ZENDER!!! STOP FILLING MY PM BOX PPL!!!
so, the guy just purchased the car so he could make some cash? i buy and resell them too, but those seats are ghey.
obviously the hood was damaged in the accident. it appears perhaps the core support was pushed back too. there is a huge pile of oil under the front of the car in the last pic. i guess it had a busted oil pan. could be a huge red flag. maybe the engine was shut off right away, maybe not.
having a salvage title will inhibit a decent price when you resell, but it looks like a very minor accident. be sure to copy those photos if you buy it because the next owner will be just as curious what happened as you are. if you just plan to keep it and drive it, i wouldn't worry about it much.
i think it is worth 3k.
i wouldn't even consider the white car. those wheels, the dash cluster, and whited out trim make that car look like some retarded 16 year old's abortion.

The pics from the salvage place show the trunk "325i" but list as "IS"?
It's a 91. There were no more iS's. Just an I with a sports package option which I believe was essentially the same thing. It does have the spoiler and premium sound but a 6 button obc. Maybe swapped out. Hard to tell from the pics
I talked to him and tried to get him to lower the price, but no dice. I wasn't going to bother with it. Can you guys please help me find an e30 in texas near austin/dallas/san antonio/ or even houston.
