Went and got a nice new deck for the e30 today, go to pull out the old aftermarket blaupunkt and this mess of wires literally vomits out of the dash.

Cut original harness,mismatched wire colors some 80's fm radio shack stereo modulator complete with blow. 2amp glass fuse, and a mishmash of stray wires all gummed up in duct tape.

just go to the jy, cut what you need, splice it in. unfortunately this is really common with old e30's. take a look at the wiring going into the factory amp. it is probably fucked up too.

I ended up getting a Kenwood Kdc bt555u.

Has Bluetooth, pandora, Sirius,cd,pre-outs etc etc , but most of all I find it matches the dash pretty spot on, was less than $150

Here it is, put ill snap a pix later when it's totally done.
