This may be the top i bought mine was closer to $300. Its not a hard install as long as you have a few days to do it. Take your time on it. You can find instructions online or by searching r3v for my username. Its in one of my posts from 2010 or 2011 i believe.

that top is vinyl and not cloth like the originals. You get what you pay for and I am sure that thing is going to be a piece of crap!!!!!!
I have installed a 400 dollar top and it wasn't that hard. the material was nice, the rear window seemed kinda thin.

I believe this is the same as I bought a couple of years back, for closer to 250 or 300. Install was easier than I thought, although time consuming, and while it doesn't look original I have been happy with it. No reliability issues to report.

Only thing is it looks dirty more often than the cloth tops, because the cloth actually absorbs some dirt and holds it, whereas this is not absorbent at all so anything that falls or collects is very obvious.

Wish it was $130 when I bought it, I could have invested in some new seals as well as leaks are my current annoyance, not the vinyl top.

Possible to spray it with like a scotch guard or weather resistant coating?

TopsOnline.com sells replacement convertible tops for 1986 - 1993 BMW 318i, 320i, 325i, and M3 (E30 Body). Soft tops available in German, Haartz Sonnendeck, and Haartz Stayfast cloth (mohair).

Best place for tops and very reasonably priced. Robbins is superior to most tops. Had mine installed for $450 and paid $380 for the top on my z3
