What's up guys....let me introduce myself....my name is Mike. I'm a very very "dangerous" driver who is absolutely in love with driving. I finally picked up my first e30 and I'm addicted to trying to wrap this beast around a tree. This is my first bimmer. I can tell you all sorts of shit about wrapping old school toyota corollas(ae86's) around trees, the mysteries of turbo'd rotory rx7's(i drive a fc3s that I wrapped around a tree), but here I am, humble and still on my quest to figure whats up with these german engineers...so...please educate me...

All kidding aside, enjoy the car, keep it safe, and please only kill yourself if you wreck.

                  yeah, that's a real r3v welcome i guess...

well what do you want to know about the 318is? nobody around here will answer you unless you're real specific.

as far as I know, a 318is is about as close to an ae86 as you will get. especially if you're talking about german cars. I think it is at least a couple hundred pounds heavier than the toyota though.

do up your suspension first, best way to go.

If you have more technical questions, this is a great beginners site into the 318iS.

Read this site up and down, every page, and remember it. Its a great site.

As for modifying your E30, supension will turn your car into a real beast, but a chip from either JimC or MarkD will give you a little needed extra power from the M42.

Don't let the other guys give you a hard time, they're just all dicks who hate their cars.

                      Harsh.

After a few months of reading this forum you should know better than to use stylized lingo and mention drifting.

                      Welcome.

read it, learn it, and most of all Search for it before you post for it. These little things will make your posting days on R3V much easier.
