I was at a friend's shop the other day and saw this beauty sitting behind the fence, so I asked about it. Sad story:
Guy is in the military, guy buys German e30 and puts it in storage for ten years, never drives it. The odometer is in kilometers, 53,549. That's 33,254 miles!
So, he decides he wants to ship his car back Stateside, pays for shipping insurance and gets it here. He drives the car all of one mile from the port when someone pulls out in front of him. Bam. End of story.
Luckily the guy is willing to put 8k worth of brand new parts back into this beauty to make it right.
Cleanest e30 ever.
