Should I trade my sedan for a vert?

Sometimes it cool. But when you are doing 70 with the top down and people are about to hit you to get a look at your car it gets hairy
You will also get constant thumbs up from people.
When it rains really hard you will get wet.
Its really cool to have the top up and all the windows down its like this huge no pillar action.
You will never get really good car audio sound

But it is extremely fun.

I have an early sedan, and ive thought abuot the same thing. The issues that deterred me was 1)everything was in the sedan already and I didnt want to pull it all out 2) cost of soft tops 3) pretty much no matter what you will have some sort of a leak.

These are the exact thoughts I had that prevents me from doing it. But thanks guys for the input and likes :) I think i just miss driving with the top down when i had my del sol (first car)

verts DO NOT sell for more when it comes to older cars... i constantly see the same e30 verts on CL, while coupes and sedans go quick for top dollar. i wouldnt trade a sedan for a vert, no way. but that being said, im sure you can find a vert owner who will gladly trade.

Sedan is my favorite, but no need to settle for one body style... verts seem to be selling relatively cheap these days. I just want a wagon.

Your sedan does look sweet and I currently drive an e90 so I'm not hating on four doors but when it comes to e30s I think:
Coupe > Vert > Sedan. That would be by preference so yeah, in your shoes I would trade; especially if I lived on the west coast.

I've had my vert since the spring and although the cons of the vert can be annoying at times, driving around in nice weather with the top down makes up for it in my opinion.

I'd like to get a sedan for my day to day driving at some point but for now the vert is great.

There is nothing as pleasurable as driving a convertible E30 around town. You get waved and thumbed up by so many people. Strangers would strike up a conversation just to talk. If you don't race, then go for a convertible.

But then, I have motorcycles and an old fiat convertible.

So keep the sedan and get a motorcycle.

Sadly, I am looking to get rid of my vert.
7 cars is too many for us and after careful consideration, me and the wife decided that it is the convertible's time.
I am in the process of getting it ready for sale now. It is a 1991 laguna green auto.

I steal my Brother's vert any chance I get, it is super fun to drop the top and drive. Never need AC and women LOVE to go for rides.
If you do not have a family I would pop for the vert in a heartbeat. Plus verts sell for more than basic 2/4 doors. But that is depending on the vert's state. If it is as clean as your 4 door I would.

I've owned a 4door a couple coupes and a now I'm on my third vert. Personally for daily use the pros out weigh the cons IMO. Although all of the verts I've owned had fairly new tops and only leaked in the front corners as Cabriolet stated, but that is only when it was raining constantly for hours on end and the material was saturated. If you are constantly hauling people or things. I would say stick with the sedan. More than one other dude in the vert is always weird, girls love emm tho and they're usually smaller so its not too awkward for them to get in the back.

Also I dont really mind the way they preform. A nice stiff suspension, new bushings, beefy sway bars and chassis stiffing goes a long way. I would make the argument that you can feel the effects of said upgrades better on a cabrio than you could in a 4door or coupe. If its an m20 car 5speed and a 4.10 lsd is the way to go. They need the 4.10 to get that extra weight going.
